Gruene

About Gruene

Gruene is a 19th-century German settlement on the Guadalupe River that New Braunfels annexed in 1979. Its roughly 25-acre core is a National Register historic district that includes Gruene Hall, the dance hall built in 1878.

The surrounding residential area mixes older homes with newer subdivisions near the river. Gruene isn't a single subdivision, so HOA rules and school district vary by address.
