Home Selling Timeline: What Happens and When
Knowing what comes next takes most of the stress out of selling. Here's how a typical sale with us runs from the first conversation to closing. Timing varies with your home, your schedule and the market.
Before you list
- Pricing conversation and a written market analysis based on recent nearby sales
- Sign the listing agreement, then Kristin's complimentary staging consultation with a room-by-room plan
- Repairs, decluttering and staging to the plan
- Professional photos, plus 3D or aerial media when it fits the home
On the market
- Listing goes live on the MLS and syndicates to the major home search sites, plus our own marketing
- Showings through a showing app, with feedback sent to you
- Offers reviewed together: price, financing, option period, closing date and terms
Under contract to closing
- Option period: the buyer inspects and may negotiate repairs
- Appraisal and the buyer's loan approval
- Title work, survey and any agreed repairs
- Final walkthrough, closing and handing over keys
